Terms of Service

CollegeCountdown is intended for parents and guardians managing college savings and preparation for their children, and for college-bound students (teens) who have been invited by a parent or guardian. You must be 13 or older to create a student account. Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use of the platform.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account or create accounts for others without their consent.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

CollegeCountdown provides tools to help families:

• Track college savings progress through securely linked financial accounts
• Explore college costs and financial planning estimates
• Organize scholarship research and applications
• Track SAT/ACT test preparation milestones
• Coordinate college planning between parents and teens

Important: CollegeCountdown provides organizational and planning tools — not licensed financial advice. College cost projections and savings estimates are illustrative. Consult a certified financial advisor for personalized financial guidance.

When you choose to link a financial account, you authorize CollegeCountdown to retrieve read-only balance data through Plaid. You can disconnect any linked account at any time. Linking an account does not authorize CollegeCountdown to move, transfer, or transact with any funds.

The Gift Hub feature allows family members to contribute to a student's 529 college savings plan by following a link. CollegeCountdown does not process payments directly. Contributions are facilitated through your 529 plan provider. Always verify contribution details with your plan administrator.

You agree not to:

• Use CollegeCountdown for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system
• Provide false information that misrepresents your identity or family situation
• Use the platform to spam, harass, or send unsolicited communications

All content, design, and features of CollegeCountdown are the property of CollegeCountdown, LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

CollegeCountdown is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees that cost projections, scholarship listings, or savings estimates will be accurate for your specific situation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollegeCountdown, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice of material changes. Continued use of CollegeCountdown after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
